Default First 12 second run, does this seem right?

Ran a 12.807 @ 106.155 with a 1.701 60'. Went to Speedworld here in Phoenix, AZ for a club day event and the track prep was unbelievable. Drag radials, street tires, it didn't seem to matter, was like crazy glue on the starting line. My previous best was a 13.30 @ 104.6mph with a 2.042 60' at Firebird Raceway a week and two days before this run. The track prep there was so so for Friday night drags. Weather was about 65 degrees, sunny. Track elevation is about 1300' if I remember correctly. Car is a loaded (except for leather and chrome wheels) '01 B4C A4 Camaro, just rolled 5100 miles, was a GM promo vehicle. "Only" mod is PCMforless tune with torque management removed. Everything else is orignal down to the 7 year old Goodyear Eagle RSAs. I was just looking for some opinions as some were sceptical (including me) about the 60', but the mph seems to match the ET, to me anyway

If it was this weekend... Yes, the track was prepped very well. Seems like Firebird and Speedworld are switching places as far as track prep goes. It really illustrates how important the 60 is.

get it to around 1.5 and you will be running that mph in the eigth in street trim for example my car is....camed/stalled/danas60 and a 125 shot along with countless other mods but mainly those besides the suspesion and what not.....on 17in 315s my best is 6.93 at 102mph in the eigth......motor its around a 7.5.

good luck

What gears do those b4c's come stock with. That's an impressive 60' if that stock stall and stock gears.

Yes, it was on Sunday and the track prep was unbelievable honestly. I've never felt a fairly stock LS1 F-body launch like it did.

That would be nice but I think I will leave this car as stock as possible It has fairly low miles and was never in service with any agency. I will however mod my '02 as it was an old FHP car. 1.5 60s would be awsome!

Great 60' then. Do you recall what you were able to foot brake it to? Or did you leave off idle?

You are runing great times regardless.....mines an 02 4.10 rear gear... but the best 60 ive put down was a 1.48 with a 3800 stalll steal d/s and a strange danas60 with the detriot tru trac. Honestly i went from stock running 8.5s in the eigth with a 1.8 60 so the car was a factory freak.. after the cam it woke it right up but of course the stall is what did it before the cam and stall only i went 7.9 with a 3500 stall and the 10bolt with 4.10s.. the cam i have is 236. 242. 601/610 112 lsa.......

Pretty damn quick for a stocker. Mine dead hooks stompin' it to the floor and only made a 1.98 best 60. Brake-stalling it makes it slower, heavily brake-stalling it makes it fishtail.

Well, rumors are that the left lane timing equipment was off at Speedworld. Which lane did you make the pass in. What were your 60's in the right lane if not? My buddy had his normal 60 in both lanes, but I'm hearing stories...

Just left off idle honestly. I have found with my Caprice (3000 Edge Racing stall) that it doesn't improve my 60' to bring it up on the stall too much.

Ahhh, I ran in the left lane. When I ran in the right lane, I think I was following a water truck disguised as a 96 Impala SS because I had a 2.58 60' and ran a 14.96 at 102.3mph. Hmmm, that sucks that the timing lights might have been off, wonder how that happens? I ran my Caprice in the right lane with the 1.818 60' on the 13.27 run. Ugh, this sucks

Just got off the phone with Victoria out at Speedworld and she said that there was a problem with the left lane and they didn't fix it til late. She mentioned something about the staging beams sticking thus giving everybody a better time . Oh well, I'll throw that time slip away. Crashinaz was right.
