First time to the track (HRP) Made it to the track yesterday for the first time. just got the mods in my sig put on a week or so ago, and wanted to see what it would do. havent bought any DR's for the car because i wanted to get a new rear first. got 3 runs but couldnt keep the tires from spinning on all runs but the 3rd. spun all the way thru first and half of second on the first run, on the 3rd run tires hooked half way thru first, but as soon as i hit second tires broke loose again. i let off a little got traction and finished out 3rd gear few hundered feet before the 1/4 mark so i didint switch to 4th. anyways here's my times, be nice its my first time to ever race at a drag strip.
to top things off someone broke into my car and push the back window in a couple weeks back. anyways i have to special order a new top to get a new window(seems they cant put the window back in) so i ran it without a rear window.

Everyone has a first time at the track.
That being said, you know traction is a problem at the moment. Get hooked up to at least a 2.0 60 foot time and 12.70s-.90s should happen.

I bet you can do way better than 12.9's man no problem I think you should be near or in the 11's with traction no problem, even with DR I can spin and when I do I get in the 13's but I was a consistant 12.1 so get your rear and some DR and it will be like a rocket ship when it hooks, you will poop your pants.

along with what I said you will have to learn how to drive haha or get someone who can to get you some nice 1/4 times lol.
Oh and if you cared my car ran the 12.005 on the tr 224 cam stall and gears with DR's I have some new heads on now no times yet have to wait for the deep freeze to go away, but I expect mid 11's.
Also make shure you take out any extra weight thiers a post in here of stuff you can take of your car so you can go faster.

The thing that is killin me is habit. ive had the car 9 years in august. with just having put the parts part on lil over a week ago. im not used to the hp change yet. it has 7k rpms and pure habit has me shift at 5900. launch rpms i still havent figured out, only had 3 runs, and havent done any street test yet (work 7-10s) but ill get it back down with some more practice runs. Might pick up some DR's before the rear and see how long the rear last. got to get a new one anyways. headers and exhaust also soon to come. any tips on launching with much more hp than stock on street tires would be appreciated.
