Popped that cherry
Popped that cherry I just bought my 1998 Z28 about a month ago and took her to Memphis Motorsports last Thursday for the season opener.
My first one was my best of the night, and I was grinnin' like Peewee at a **** convention. Here's my numbers.

Not too shabby, I thought. It's a BGM hard top with 2.73s. As far as mods, it's the way I got it with a lid, cut out, and the FRA mod. She's a bit of a lightweight, with the only options being an auto and power windows and locks. Doesn't even have TC or a rear defrost. Kinda like a topless only stripper.
I get some pics'n'**** posted one of these days.
I sent the throttle body off today to be ported, and I'm thinking of doing either a full exhaust or 3.42s next.

I got close the other night 12.01@114 , in the past ive had 12.04's, 12.06's and 12.07's. i plan to get the stock throttle body ported and electric water pump, that should get me that 11.

I'm definitely shooting for 12s within the next few months.
A friend of mine, Jetlag, managed 12.7s with a full exhaust and lid, so I'm. planning on taking the same route. If I don't do exhaust, it's going to be 3.42s, tires, and maybe an LS6 intake.
Since I'm a cheapo, I'll probably do exhaust. I was pondering gears because I can hear a bit of a drone in the rear end and might end up rebuilding it soon.
And to think... I used to be a 5.0 fanatic!
