Tom,
Well everyone thinks I am sponsored by Black Magic, do you need some good tire shine? Shawn from VA Speed is going to use my tire shine to get a couple more MPH.

Tell us how you really feel!! LOL

I could sure live without the weight. But the LSX block is a good foundation, with a better price tag than a billet aluminum block, or the production aluminum blocks with what they require.

We wanted to go with the ERL LS2 block but it was too light for my application. We needed the extra weight up front. With the power that Shawn Miller from Virginia Speed has coaxed out of our 438" LSx it would be a wheelie monster with the lighter block.

PMS? Oh, pm's.... LOL Don't see any from you.

As for the LSX. What did Howard Hughs say in his confused state?

"It's the wave of the future, It's the wave of the future, It's the wave of the future"..........

But probably not.

What you talkin bout willis. We can get down to 3140 right now as we speak with no work. With 2 changes I've got up my sleeve we'll be around 3020 with driver and all fluids.

My buddy Jeff's gone 200+ in the standing mile, has air and gets 25+mpg in his Ultima GTR.

This was a while ago...

At the dragstrip it had no traction at 145mph lol...

Well, we went 196.59 at CSCN qualifying this weekend with Powskis LSX but unfortunately mph don't win races, and I ain't no Steve Petty on starting line tune ups.......

So if all we had to do was race for mph, we got 3.5 to go for 200!!! Unfortunately, I don't know where a race like that is!!! So back to the drawing board.

Chris,
What kind of boost and turbo are you guys running on that hod-rod? I had a feeling you were going to be in the mix sooner than later.

It's a 101 precision with a big AR, with a max of 22 psi boost. Been just leaving boost where it is and tuning it with timing. We shift and trap about 9000-ish rpm, and the engine is a happy camper. Very pleased with it.

I was a little hesitant to believe that turbo would do the job and had some folks tell us it wouldn't work, but obviously, it's capable. Eventually down the road we're going to have to hit the wastegate hard and get some boost but it's more than we can handle even now. So we need to get the first 100 feet figured out.... cuz the last 1220 feet she is on a serious mission.
