11.85 @ 112 m/t radials not cutting it
Well I found some m/t to borrow and went 11.93 @ 112 with 1.61 60' and 11.85 at 112 with 1.59 60'in time runs before elminations. Once elminations started my car would not hook up. I managed to make it to the finals 6 rounds later but spinning everypass high 1.6 to 1.7 short times. Finals spun the worse, 1.81 60' and I lost. Tires started out at 16 psi and I went to 14 but did nothing.
I thought using some mt radials would help hook better but it only did it twice. Would a et street hook more consistantly than the radial?

^^^^^ Yeah I agree. Did they prep the track before eliminations started?
Could you post the breakdown of the slip, the 11.9 and 11.8 pass. I just want to compare it to my car, I'm trying to get 11s with no cam. I have mickey radials as well, I noticed I gotta get them real worm to hook. What are you leaving at?

No ET Streets will not hook more consistantly than their drag radials. We regularly cut 1.3X 60fts and have had a best of a 1.27 60ft on the radials. I have to agree with the others, the track went away. I'd bet you started off with a nice warm well prepped track surface and the cooler it got later in the day/night the track went away. I would also bet that if you checked with some other racers that were at that track that night they would say they had the same issue.

Heres 2 time runs at 12:45 and 1:15

First round was at 3:45, 1/4 are pointless since I could only dial 12.00 so I didnt run it all the way out.

What size are you running? I have the 275-40-17s & 275-50-15s & they both work really well. The only time I have trouble hooking, it is because I don't get a good burnout. (No line lock)
I run them 18-20 psi, 1.51 is my best 60' on the 15s, 1.61 on the 17s.

To determine if it was a track prep issue, what were other cars 60's and ET that you ran against. Compare their times on your slip and that should give you an answer. I wouldn't rule it was the track fault without merrit. It could have been too low of a tire pressure, not a good consistent burnout, or the tire's sidewall is too stiff for your application. Which an softer sidewall (ET Street) may solve.

Ok I have ET streets and same exact bullshit happen from last week. Hooks in time runs, eliminations it spins. This week lost third round, had the tree but went over a tenth off. Someone mentioned the car isnt getting enough weight transfer and its unloading the tires right after the converter hits. I dont really want to spend any money on suspension with only a few races left. I guess I will just add weight in the rear.
