Talking went to the track. new pb

well i went to the track this past sunday and i was partly cloudy and about 80 out.
i did because of the gas shortage where i live have almost a full tank of gas so that killed me right there but i still ran better.
car went 12.8@ 107 with a 1.95 60 ft and ran a 8.33 @86xx in the 1/8th
befor my best run was a 12.97@106 with a 1.90 60ft and that was with it being about 60 out and less than a 1/4 tank of gas so for it being much warmer and car more heavy it did run faster so the car did pick up good.
that 12.9 before the lt's only happened once and i used to run constent 13.1's@ 106 and some 13.0's so im happy.
i think with better weather and less gas lol i can hit 12.6's maybe even 12.5's but ill have to wait and see.
i did hit 1 1.79 60ft and ran a 8.200 @87 in the 1/8th but i still ran a 12.8 so i cant figure that one out and my 550ft was 2 tenths faster to from a 5.5 to a 5.3 on that 1.7 60ft so it beats me lol
car has pacesetter lt's,tsp ory, custom single exit 3in magnaflow exhaust, lid+k&n,ftra,p&p tb,msd's+tr55's and a tune. i run year round on nitto dr's.

Should have posted in the posted in the 12 second section.

You must have really bad DA or a really heavy car to only run 12.8 @ 107 with a 1.7 60 and 336 rwhp.

As far as the 1/8 mile time on the 1.79 60'. It probably has something to do with the shift points on the 2>3 shift. It either shifted earlier and got the rpms up more before the 1/8 or it shifted later and kept the rpms high as you crossed the 1/8. Mine does weird stuff that doesn't make sense sometimes. 60's all over the place but the times are near identical, 1/8 mph high on one pass but it will have the lowest 1/4 mph, etc..

i just went to the 1/8th mile track by my house and i did notice that my car will shift into 3rd right befor the finish line.
netx time i run the 1/8 track im going to try just leaving it in 2nd and trying not to shift into 3rd.
i did trap almost 88 mph in the 1/8 so i think the cooler weather helped.

I'm shifting 2-3 @ the 1/8 and holding most of the time from 3-4 @ the 1/4.
