Default Traction woes

My car is full weight with a 6 point roll bar. I am trying to get this car to hook, but don't have a clear understanding of how to get everything to work together. Mods are in my sig. I have tried air pressure from 20 psi down to 15psi with the 26-10.50/16 ET Streets. The few times that it has hooked was right after the track was prepped. When I launch the nose comes up plenty, but before the front tires get a chance get airborn, I spin. I haven't messed with front strut settings a whole lot (QA1 single adj), but have tried 0, 1, and 2 clicks (I have hooked 3 times set on 1 click). I just don't know if this heavy pig (3580# w/ driver) can get traction on a 10.50 tire. Stock springs 2 coils cut, and stock shocks (coilovers in the near future). Any suggestions to maximize my current setup?

Well you've got the right equipment to get it done. What's the rear of the car doing, do you have any video's from the rear? Is it squatting, staying level, or lifting? Are you spraying off the line? My car had a similar problem, a few LCA and TA adjustments fixed it. Try lowering your psi a little more, I run 12 psi in my 26X11.5-15 ET Streets. Granted they're full tube chassis racecars but there are cars running crazy fast on 10.5 tires!

FYI, 26x10.5x16 ET streets are only 8.4 wide, ET street sizes are baised on section width.

With that small of tire your going to have to drop the pressure a little more, i would suggest starting at 10-11psi. If it hooks there raise the pressure till it spins again then drop back down a little.

The pics look good! The car looks level, the only thing I noticed was it looks like your getting a lot of squat in the rear. I don't know how much of a gap there is when your car is standing still but I would guess it's more then what's in the picture. I'd say try lower tire psi and stiffen up the compression of your rear shocks so they won't squat as fast. If this is the normal height of the rear then, has the car ever hooked? How about launching N/A? Are other faster cars hooking up on the same nights your not?

The track has a couple more T&T on Sat to end the season. I plan on going and will take some tools to 60' the car and make some adjustments. I have been doing some research and from what I've read, when the car squats it takes away from pushing the rear tires into the pavement.
