high tens n/a 346
Funny that you posted this, I just sent a PM to my brother stating that this is my exact next goal with this car (like 5 minutes ago). Put a real H/C/I setup on it and hit 10s NA leaving it full weight and M6. My planned route is a TFS 215, Dominator 2, 92/92 setup with some slicks. I personally think it's indeed doable with an LS1 (and I'm sure it's been done before), but I thought it sounded like a good challenge when I thought of it. Not impossible, but not easy, especially for an M6. I think 460ish rwhp should make it attainable for me with a good slick on the car.
Yes, but you need a very aggressive setup, just hitting 10's on an n/a 346 is a nice goal, but full weight will make it very hard. Doable, but hard.
FWIW my goal was 10's n/a 6 speed on a budget, and im very close, still havent quite done it yet...
his car is about 3000 lbs though. thats not stock weight. isnt stock weight around 3500-3600. please correct me if im wrong.

its pretty damn easy. been there cam only in a 3400 pound car...

I worked with a friend in 03/04 getting his full weight SS to the 10's.It weighed 3600lbs and went 10.8 with a 346ci H/C setup which dyno'd 440rwhp locked converter. It took alot of suspension work to get the car to 60 1.50's. -back then the suspension selection wasn't as good as today.
So,with whats out there today it's pretty easy to go tens on a stock shortblock.

If its a M6 its going to be tough w/o serious weight reduction, on a Auto, its a whole lot easier. BUt still, proper traction mods given the correct gearing, you can do anything,
Someone just needs to build a porpous built car and yes, I would see this happening.
The question is would anyone do a 25.5 or 25.2 spec chassis to go beat the Stock motor record, cam only record, etc etc. With the right chassis and driveline, alot of records would be smashed.
I figure most, if not all wouldnt spend the time and $$$ to do this and get flammed because they didnt have a stock style car.

There was a vid that was in the multimedia section of a guy with a full weight ws6 car and he had a cartek head and cam package with 4.56 gears and a 6 spd and was running mid 10's so it can be done.
He's not full weight he's in the 3300 3400 range with him in the car
