lowered drag car?
My 2000 z28 sits about 3/4 inch higher then normal f body. I have removed around 300lbs which has caused this.
Car now runs 11.569 @ 117.4 1.64(spinning)
I was thinking that i now need to get the car back on the ground. I don't want to slam it just drop it around an inch or so all the way around.
Anyway the reason i posted in the drag section is cause i was curious if anyone had results with lowering a car and possibly gaining trap speed and or time from improved aerodynamics.
shocks and springs are stock now and i THINK i have a good set picked out. Qa1 fully adj. in front for drag and ride height. and some simple bmr 1 inch lowering springs in the rear.
So what do ya think? Lower the better for trap speed and drag shocks for traction?

All these parts are on bmr's web site. and of course i would only be getting the rear since the front are adj.

YOu can lower it with shocks in the front. For the rear there are a few ways. Pull out the rubber isolator at the top, Cut a coil, get new springs, adjustable spring perches, coil overs.
For shocks , I wouls go AFCO at the top and QA1 for a cheaper alternative.
Shoot me a PM and we can get you set up.

Another item to buy is the LCA relocation brackets if you plan to lower the rear of the car very much. It will help keep the instant center where it needs to be.

get the strange front shocks over QA1/HAL, alot better shock and I think most places have them cheaper. You can use your stock front springs, I am. The the heater ose mod on the rear and see how that is, its normally a 3/4-1 drop.

My ls1 camaro was slammed to the ground and went 1.54 60ft on 275/40/17 mt drag radials. Had hal shocks all the way around, umi tq arm, lca's, panhard rod, no sfc's yet, and no front way bar. It also pulled the front 17's about a foot, and ran a 11.39 at 117.7 best pass.

what do you guys mean on the rear? i do remember the rubber peice when i put in my 12 bolt but what would you replace the piece with?
Any pics?
you remove the rubber peice and just put some heater hose around the top of the spring
