Default broken 10 bolts

I'm taking my car to the track this week and will be launching hard. I got to thinking what if it broke bad (wouldn't roll). How would I get it on the trailor? The trailor I'll be using doesn't have a come-a-long. Should I buy one? Any of you guys experienced this? Any advice besides buying a 12 or 9?

First off I see your name and I assume you have a 6 spd car correct? Second I would not race down a track if i had a stock axle rear for the fear of breaking an axle and have the axle come out the rear end and putting me into the wall.

When I did break an axle I was prepared to get it back on the trailer. I had brought with me my floor jack and those car dollies and jacked up the rear and winched it on the trailer with the dollies underneath when it got to the dove I jacked it up again and winched it the rest of the way on the trailer.

I would get a 12 bolt if it were me just for safety. Just my opinion

I have had buddies do 5000 dumps on a stock rear and never had a problem yet that is.

Enough people pushing will get damned near anything to roll.

I loaded mine on a trailer with 1/2 the pinion teeth intact. It would move forward about 10 inches then BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM.........10 more inches BAAAAAAAAAAAAM........ 10 more inches BAAAAAAAAAAAAM........

Before I knew it, I was on the trailer, and the neighbors were outside.

back the rear wheels of the trailer into a ditch, put down the ramps, and get 4 or 5 big guys to push

When my 10-bolt broke, it blew blew almost all the teeth of the pinion so there was no problem in getting it to roll lol...

The AAA truck had to winch it up on the bed, butthere was no problems with pushing it...

NOW...

When my 12-bolt broke... 4 times... 2 of those it was locked up pretty badly... but with enough people pushing we were able to get it up on my friend's trailer.

Thats what sucks about driving your car to the track... but AAA takes it back to the shop w/o a problem.

I would look into a 9" or Strange S60... If I had to do it again, I would never get a 12-bolt. Having broken it 4 times, they are not strong enough for 6spd cars...

jack knife ur truck and trailer and that will make room for another truck to back up and tow u right on..just take it slow and block the wheels cause u might have to back the truck back up a a couple times. i've done it that way when we forgot the winch and far from home. or if u have blocks to put under the rear by the ramps and infront of the tires diconect the trailer and pull it on that way..

When my 10 bolt broke the shock in the drivetrain took out the transmission too. You may want to rethink about going to the track if you plan on your 10 bolt breaking.
