Default Spohn Drag Bar Adjustment(Preloading)??

Installed the spohn drag bar today. It says for preloading to adjust the linkage for a 1/16" less ride height on rear of drivers side door than passengers side door with myself in the car while the fronts barely jacked up off the ground. I followed the steps and I already had this clearance. No adjusting or preloading was needed. Earlier in the installation steps tho, when finally tightening the u-bolts, the impact was grunting pretty good during this final tightening. The only thing I can think of is that by chance the adjustment I needed was already achieved before even trying to adjust. Odd. And BTW, the *** end seems real stiff. I'm guessing thats the preload I ended up with. I've never had the luck to install a adjustable part that the adjustment was by chance right where it needed to be... Any thoughts on this or am I missing something?

Its gonna be stiff. Chances are your preload is close enough, just fine tune it at the track.

Thats what I was thinking. Just thought it was odd. Now as far as tuning goes, can I actually adjust squat by either loosening or tightening or what? Doesn't seem like there will be much squat with the preload where its at but this may be what I'm lookin for.... I'm new to the adjustable drag bar...

a better way is to unhook it then measure. then add the 1/16 cause chances are it doesn't set level to begin with.
the bar isn't used to adjust squat. helps make the car lauch level and go straight.
I love mine

Throw those instructions out!!!!!!!!!
Jack the car on the k-member until the tires just lift.
adjust the turnbuckles on the drag bar so they are both loose on the body mounts. You should be able to slide them on or off. That is NO PRE LOAD.
Adjust the passanger side 1-3 turns longer to give yourself pre load. adjust it so your car leaves straight. I have never adjusted the drivers side!!! This works great!!!

Good luck

I just bolted mine up and never adjusted anything. The car leaves straight as can be cutting 1.44 60' with the back wheels.
