I run my street tires at around 24-25 psi at the strip. I have heard that any lower doesn' really help. Make sure you up the fronts to ~40.

Are you racing at KCIR? If so, when? I'll be out there on wednesday 'round 6:00.

on street tires, low psi HURTS you as they force the tire to cup. but not everyone believes this. think about it, stiff sidewalls dont work well unless they are at psi they were designed to run at. cuping = less contact patch = less of a chance to run a decent time. good luck and i would run lowest at 36 psi and possibly more - nittos, then we are talking 21-25 psi.

Just got a set from rage today, 315/35/17. They were the only ones in stock, and he promised they would work just fine. Getting them mounted tomorrow morning, we'll see how they do on wednesday. About 20 psi should be right for them at the track, right?
