I ran the LS7 for two seasons and loved it. Great street clutch but it does smell a bit on the high RPM dumps. I have put quite a few passes on it estimate somewhere around 75-100 and about 10k miles on the street. It is not shifting into third at high RPM now which may be a hydraulics issue but I have also read that some of the LS7 pressure plates cause this so in the spring I'll start with a master cyl swap and see...

Overall its a great clutch IMO and I would gladly run one again if i had too but for serious drag use and abuse there are better options but the stock drive ability aspect goes away so I'm trying to find a better racing clutch that still drives like stock on the street.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps but research cant hurt and thats what I'm doing now

I should also note I have launched as high as 7K RPM on the LS7 clutch but it didnt like it I go the quickest at 5500 RPM dumps

I'd be surprised is anyone made more than a pass or two on a ten bolt with sticky tires on a stick car. Ten bolts break behind stock 5.0L TPI five speeds on street tires... I've done it more than once.

The stock ten bolt is the first thing to upgrade IMO they're complete garbage

I agree, removal of the weak links should be the priority above adding power.
