If your only managing 1.9's on 17" et street's, there is something wrong......

We were working issues out of my car all year, but on stock 17's full weight car, we got pretty consistent low 1.7's leaving around 4 k. I think if we leave around 5 k, we should be low 1.6's

I pulled a 1.58 60 ft. on these tires on stock 17 x 9 wheels. The typical bias, radial mix sway was pretty scary north of 120 mph. I really had to drive the car on the big end. I am going to be playing with drag radials again this time around. I felt a bit more confident on the radials, especially in the 10 second zone.

Sorry it has taken so long, but I have not been able to take pics on the ground; bout died of hyperthermia when going out to the shop to get cat food. I can say this, these things are about 1" skinnier then the ft 275x40, 17". see pic.

The pic of the ones on the car is with the frame up on stands (ft and rear) and the jack under the rear end to load the rear. I think it will drop 1" more at ther most O-well, it may look better once on the ground.

I have zero suspension mods on the car and had a best of 10.97 with m/t 315/35/17 drag radials on 11' wide rims. Using the 17" ET street I ran a 10.67, 10.70, 10.71 (9''rim). The 60' was only a 1.71 though but they definitely hooked better. I originally had them on my 11" rims but they looked stupid, a 9" rim is what they should be on.

Yes.....

They hook, but they are an inch skinner then the fronts (275 17" 35). I used a 1/4 inch spacer on the rear (I have 2 1/2" studs) to make it look a little better in relation to front. These hook as well as my 15" MT's, but I bet I could have used some MT rad (315's) on an 11" ZR1 rime and been just as happy, but with wider rear tires.

The will work, and they are very sleeper.

How do they drive. Do they sway real bad as said before? Are we talking 6k clutch dumps hook?

Yes they sway some, but not as bad as my 11.5, 15" MT ET Streets did. 6k clutch dump.....on a good track, yes. On an un-serviced track, maybe not. I use a yank 4000 converter and I foot brake it. I have a friend in a vett that cuts a 1.43 60" with his, but he is auto as well.

If it were me, I would go back and buy the 17x11" ZR1's for the rear with the MT 315x35x17" DR. But hey, they do the job for now.

I added a few more pics on the floor.

I am going to have to lower this thing to make it look right. I guess I took out too much mass.
