I just want to play and have fun doing it and if it goes faster that what I think then thats just a bonus.

Just wanting to get my feet wet the first year.

The records are usually set by people that know how to "cheat." haha. The intake on my car is off a stocker..its a fully hogged out fast 78mm, ground down and painted black. The car ran in the 9s in super stock, yes, a stocker in super stock. Of course this was a few years ago, and no one had caught on yet. Its always fun to go fast with less parts!

What gear are you running? I recently went 4.86 with mine. Last time I checked with my class buddies they were turning north of 7500 with the stocker motors

sweet car by the way

FYI, the first thing that tech would check is the part number. I seriously doubt that a FAST would pass tear down. Any sign of porting would also get you tossed. In Super Stock any intake is legal as long as the throttle body is in the right location.

Gizmo, I agree.
I can bet it would not pass teardown too. The tech guys are not stupid. I have been to the barn at least twenty times and crap like that does not fly.

By the way "ZtwentyAteU" stockers with LS1's are in the nines and many legal stockers run in SS.

The reason the manifold is on your car is because it would never pass. It may have been on a stocker but not one that ever set a record.

Cheating is for the guys who cannot make a car run.

Tim, Let me know when you are racing the road race car. I can send you some of my CHEATING parts.

Anyway like I said I've always wanted a stocker.

The beadlocks just look bitch that's the only reason they are on there looks only.

Thanks
msd box give you trouble using a callies crank?

it seems the msd box is too sensitive to phasing, and doenst have an elaborate enough processor to figure the firing out. ecm is smart.... crank relearn and its good to go.
eagle and lunati are about the only cranks that will work with the 6010 box.
i went through the same ordeal with a friend of mine;s 408. nightmare. ive posted this before, and i feel like im preaching, but callies and msd need to get together and work something out. both of them could benefit in the ls world if their products mated up. granted msd is mostly at fault, but callies runs their own version wheel.

sorry you had trouble with it. it royally sucks.

in stock form..... can you tune the ecm or is it a factory locked computer like asa?

In stock form you can tune the pcm.

The msd deal does suck I was wanting to see what it would have ran on methanol with a carb. I was hoping fro some 9.20's or 30's with some with some weight out of it oh well.

S/E will be a blast!

Amen! We had Stock and Super Stock cars at Gainesville Raceway yesterday (about 20-25), and one was a stick 3rd gen. Was sweet to watch and listen to!

Oh now Tim. MSD tech says my box(s) are the only ones that they have ever seen anyone have trouble with. That dist kit I got from you is working good and the fuel cell was a perfect fit. Hope to catch you up at Gateway some this year or maybe at an NHRA event. Good luck class racing, it cost me too much money to keep up so now I just want to see how fast I can go.
