best way to do a burnout?

best way to do a burnout ?? I am going to burn some old tires I have to make way for my winter treads whats the best way to go about doing this ??
leave it in 2nd ( auto w/ 3200 stall) and just smoke em n leave the car w/ a lil brake n let it stay around 5 grand ?
I am trying to geta slp line lock installed b4 then but then the ? arrises line lock + state inspection + winter coldness......
what do you think i should do ?
line lock leave in drive n leter rip or 2nd gear n keep teh rpms up

Re: best way to do a burnout ?? line lock is best, but when i didnt have line lock id put the shifter in 2nd, and go buck wild. let it shift into 2nd and hold it at like 4g. line lock would obviously be best however.

Re: best way to do a burnout ?? I drop it in first, as soon as i hit 5500 RPM I shift quick and give it gas into second, leave it there till about 6,000(hehe) and when Im done I shift into 3rd and roll out. Ive done some bad *** burnouts before.
