Default Racing and stock parts-about 7 years worth

Just to update, and I know it's not the LS1 motor (thank god, b/c it's keeping me racing for points!) I now have a few shots of the engine damage up on my link at the bottom.
Needless to say, the block was ! After 7 years of driving on the street, and over 1000 passes on the strip, it served me well. I'll be adding more pictures soon, and hopefully my new bullet will be back in the car within 2-3 weeks!

Ouch. Any idea what let loose first? Good luck on the rebuild.

Derek,

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your racing motor.

I feel your pain. I have went through 2 LS1 motors, 3 trannys, and 2 convertors this year.

Good luck on getting her running again.

Blur- my engine builder thinks the crank broke first, it was in 3 pieces, the smallest of which I photo'd of course! Makes a nice paperweight at work

Coach-of all people here, I KNOW you understand my pain! Thank god for back-up bracket cars, right? At least I know it'll be ready for next year with the roll bar, rearend upgrade and other little necessary things to make it run 11s with ease, but still retain decent street manners. Good luck to you on getting your hot rod back and running fast again!

George, can you paint the rod "pink" after you straighten it?

Yes, Thank God for back up race cars!

Thanks, I am talking to Thunder to see if we can get the Hot Rod ready for the Shootout.

The glide will be ready next week. :p

well you'll have your car back before me, although the engine block only took 2 days at the machine shop to get bored .060 and line honed! So I may have it back in 2-3 weeks, wonder if I can get it to run 12.00 with the back 2 barrels disconnected?

hope you get your done in time and good luck with your glide!
