Default Time to go set some new records!!!

Well Ive finally got the engine back together. Just need to get it back in the car now.

Hopefully with Madman's suspension tuning help and the cars new heart we'll make some noise!

That SB2.2 stuff is for the birds... Only a fool would use that stuff. You should use my 307 heads instead.

BTW Darren, I think I'm going to have your header fabricator do another set of headers similar to yours.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

Only reason that opti is still on there is to try and see if it can put up with a 16 to 1 heavy nitrous engine. If it cant i'll have something else on there before the Thunder Race. I'm not holding my breath though... LOL!

optis have lived fine in several 8000 rpm combos. keep them dry and they really arent that bad guys

Dave, Yeah the heads are kinda a pain to torque, But after doing it a few times now its not too bad LOL!

Dave, Right now the car is plummed with a NOS Cross bar plate but used as two big shot stages. Pending on how next weekends testing goes I may throw a Wilson's fogger on it. The plate really makes hood clearance a issue (about 1" to the hood in its tightest spot)

the opti will handle 8k no problems....and dont let no one tell you that throttle body is to big..cause it isnt
