Re: Anybody in the 9's with a 4L60E?
We've run 9.25@155 in our C5 a few years back with that tranny. The car was running low - mid 9's all year long, and never broke a part once we sorted it out and put the best parts available and remachined a bunch of things in there. Although we didn't break parts, we did wear out high clutch packs about 2 or 3 times that year. It was also street driven to work everyday...
So it would be a high maintenance tranny somewhat.... A 3-speed might be the best and easiest way to go. I am not sure if we sell these 4L60E trannys to the public, I'd have to talk to the big guy...

I will be there as soon as I get to the track (I HOPE) on a FLP level IV...I hae run a best of 10.35 and many many many mid 10's over the past 2 years with it and never had a problem....I just had freshened up while the motor was down for the hell of it. I dont drive it everyday but it is a streetcar and I race it at least once a month if not more.
keeping my fingers crossed...
