Default Solid Mount guys inside

last winter I put in a solid mount torque arm (body mount)

I made my own LCA's with solid mounts also. Only thing with bushings is one end of the panrod (other end is solid)

Also, no carpet in the car, so things are louder, but people are hearing my "clunk" from outside of the car.

SO, when change directions, Rev to 1st, etc, it clunks LOUD.

Hell, even when I shift, it'll clunk

Normal for solid mounts? Something I should look for?

I have a tranny mount T/A. But I have poly/Rod panhard and lower control arms. I have the bushing mounted to the car and the rod end mounted to the rear. No clunks.

It's all solid.

I think the cause might be the very slight differences between the ID of the rod ends to the size of the bolts. That little bit of difference might be enough to cause the "clunk"

yes, the bolt size is your problem. You need bigger bolts

I think I remember I couldn't use a larger bolt on one section and I DID make spacers to fit in

Wasn't press fit, but it WAS tight. (just turned on the light bulb)

Will that still cause a loud "clunk"?

What else do I need to check?

it could be the rear end itself,
my rear will make a "clunking" sound if i push the rear wheels sideways.
my theory is it`s because of the c-clips.
it has always done this, annoying but nothing has broken yet.

I DO have a Detroit Locker in the 9"

Is that the clunk? I never heard/felt it before until I went to solid mounts on everything

Yeah the Detroit Locker is infamous for being a clunky biatch... My buddy has one in his car and I will never have one because of it. I would much rather have a spool. The whole shifting and clunk/locking and unlocking of the rear is almost too much to handle... When the locker loads and unloads is when it locks and unlocks, causing a clunk or thumping sound.

I'm glad its the locker and not suspension.

It's weird, I NEVER heard it with the bushings on the car

Thanks guys!
