Is there a list someplace where you can find the stock weight of your vehicle?

I have a book that had my car at 34XX from the factory but I want to see if its near accurate. It was not dealer issued.

With that said, the HVAC is heavy but I don't think it's near 100lb. I just got done gutting my interior and there are alot of weight savings to be had inside the dash.

Take it to a truck station or even a scrap yard, or the track pending the scale is accurate.

My car is gutted with a CM cage certified to 8.50. With my aluminum 427 the car weighs 2880 with 4 gallons of fuel in the tank. If I would switch out motors to my LSX it weighs 3050 with 4 gallons of fuel. Those weights are without a driver.

I went though the whole car and cut everything I could find out. I did not however swiss cheese anything which I hear is good for a few pounds.

It can be done rather easily, but it is a time consuming process. When I get my 93 running it should be around 2950 with me in it. That's with AC, PS, two leather seats, all the interior panels, carpet, and a harness bar. Eventually, it should end up around 2750ish with all the safety features and light weight parts.

Here's the link to everything I've done to my car so far:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...8-project.html

A lot of people have done it. If you have money to buy all the light weight parts you can get these cars to around a 2600-2700 lb race weight. Some really good people to search for ideas under are Dlove, Magnus, The Juggernaut, RagenZ28, and SUX2BU. All the information is out there you just have to find a way to implement it.
