Default How much more will it take?

Not sure if this is the right section to put this up in but whatever. I was wondering how much does it take to get wheels off the ground launching? I'm putting in a th400 with a vig 3200 and have plans for a 9" soon. What else is needed lol? Obviously i will have some suspension work and full slicks. Mods are in sig.

This has been discussed here before, and every car is different. You can take a 12 second car with good weight transfer and kick *** suspension and pull the wheels, while some 10 and 9 second cars still don't yank the skinnies due to the converter, gearing and/or engine powerband/torque set-up. My Nova was yanking the wheels on low 1.60 60 foot times when running the low 12s, and there are photos I've seen of high 12 second F-bodies grabbing air with the stock 16-17 wheels up front.
