Weight savings is about 8 pounds or so. As fast 94 stated we have a bolt on kit.

Steve/madman, ever look into making a whole complete steering column kit, something that could bolt in with the factory brackets for the stock column? I bet replacing the whole column, with a lw removable wheel would remove a good bit of weight. Probably require some fab work, as everyone would want it in their own spot, but somehow a kit that would work, something that was a cut to lenth type setup.

I had the stock wheel but switched to a grant wheel with a disconnect (don't remember the brand off top of my head but believe it's a grant too.)

We can do an entire column kit. We have not seen enough interest to pursue though.

It's something I was looking at the other day when going over a list of weight reduction mods, I figured what the hell, if the wheel can be replaced, why not the whole column. Something like a prostock or chassis car has, stock mounts can hold a wheel with an airbag attached to it that will stop a driver from flying thru the windshield, so they must be strong enough to support that load, so a strait shaft steering column that just holds the wheel should be safe on them, especially with a 5 pt harness holding the driver in place.

One of those things, if ya were closer and needed a car for a mockup, you could use mine.

Big dog did you make a removable tunnel section? if so I'm intrested, I'd love to see some more pic's of how that is set up.

I like the brake master location setup too, under the car like that is sweet (can tell from the pedal setup)

Your column setup is what I was thinking of doing, how much lighter was the whole thing, and how did you mount it under the dash, by the stock column mounts or bars that tie to the cage?

i like how you did the shifter inside the console. im basically having my percision shifter mounted right above it with a removable mount so that i dont have to worry about cutting it up or anything.

Big dog is that the twin turbo car that stenod built that was for sale a while ago?

If so shoot me a PM, I'm curious if you don't mind sharing what you paid for it, that car was 100% top notch, I saw what they were asking, but I doubt that it was gonna sell for that kind of $.

Either way, very nice car, and it obviously runs the #'s

We put the Precision Shifters in the auto console and flip the indicator. It looks factory.
