that 60 is awesome. If mine woulda went sub 1.55's she woulda hit the 11.4's also. We are tic for tat
mine held 4 years of 1.6's and 1.5's so it did me well!
btw, im shifting at 6450.. no need to spin her higher.. im in peak power from 5900-6300 with the heads so cam only would be the same for me

As you know I used to have a Vig3600 also, but this Yank is much better IMO. The 60s and shift extension are awesome and I no longer have to lock it up to get it to MPH.

I can't wait for some -DA down here in the south! I hope to cut some 11.30s in the next month with this YPS 4400
The DA in the south has been around +1000-+1500 lately but i was still manageing to run some 11.60s@115 with the TCS now im cutting my 60ft. times by .05 easy with the yank converter. Send some of that good luck down here

That's awesome!!!! With heads I will bet you'll see some 10.70-10.8Xs with decent air and traction.
I agree with the low dyno number issue. I just recently dyno'd at 411 over my previous 408 RWHP and I have no complaints with the low dyno #s and high 10 1/4 mile passes. It's all about using as much of the HP that's available and that combination converter/cam does exactly that. Be sure to pick the right heads or that 10 second pass may not be a reality. I know too many people that have come up short in that department. I'm not one of them. Good luck!!!

My car weighs 3425 in race trim. There is a 145# difference which is close to a tenth and a half gain in weight alone. We ran our 10.91s with a ST3500 where you have the PT4400. There is a slight gain there also. FWIW- I ran a best ET of 11.66 with cam only and managed a new best of 10.91 with the MTI heads and tuning.
Take my 10.91 subtract the weight and converter improvements and any additional weight, along with a bit better air (Feb/March) and it is a very realistic goal. Keep chopping that number down.
My goal this year is 10.7Xs with no internal or converter change or break into the 10s on drag radials. It'll happen.

Are you guys on stock rear ends ? What are you launching at rpm wise? I just bought a Yank SS3800 and some 26x11.5 MT ET STS so I am wondering what will I launch at etc so not to break my rear end ?

i left around 1800 rpms when i ran my 11.50 with a 1.56 60ft
some WOT from idle for best ET's.. A4's like stall flashing, but dunno if your rear would. Its just something you will have to play with for yourself. Every car is different. Some like 2200rpm leaves and some like 1200

Thanks for the info TXCAM. If my car went 10.70s after the heads, I would kiss the lady in the timeslip booth.
Speartech, my exhaust consistists of the Mac midlength headers w/orp, into a D/D catback w/cutout. I have the option to remove the heavy D/D muffler, its is secured w/a bandclamp to the i-pipe (takes about 2 minutes to remove).
jruss, yes I am currently running a 3.42 geared 10-bolt from a 6 speed car. I has survived over 100 passes this year w/alot of 1.5 60s (best was 1.50), and is still quiet. If the track will hold it, I launch at 3000 rpm. My original rear broke w/richmond 3.73s.

I'm running FLP headers, Y-pipe, SLP I-pipe, with a cut out and have the option to remove the Dynomax Ultra flow welded muffler with a standard 3 inch flange. Nothing fancy about my system. I just wanted the quietest free flowing muffler available and the ability to reduce the weight if needed. I ran my best ET with the Y-pipe and I-pipe in place. I had just dropped the muffler and uncapped the cut-out.
I personally get better 60 fts and ETs by stalling the ST3500 as high as it will allow me (3100) with out pushing me through the lights and then literally stomping the throttle at the launch. I blew the original Torsen posi after many (200 +) passes and I replaced it with an Eaton Posi. It's the same stock 10 bolt with the same stock 3.23s, but I welded the axle tubes, added a solid pinion spacer and TA girdle for insurance. So far so good. It has seen close to 200 passes and many of them were 1.4Xs. The way I launch removes all the slack from the system. I also run ET drag slicks.
