New best, sort of Well, went to Gainesville tonight for the Street Legal Drags.
And..........................
I FINALLY broke 120. YES!!!!!!!
Ended up running 11.88 @ 122.5 on Nittos.
I cut better 60fts on my stock tires than I do with these Nittos. Anyway, I'm happy. I FINALLY have a 120+ car.

Re: New best, sort of The track wasn't prepped very well. I came out of the hole at about 3/4 throttle, and the tires spun slightly. About a second or two after I finally hooked up, I flipped the "happy switch", and the tires broke loose again. By this time, I was close to the top of first, so I just stayed in it and waited for second to catch. As soon as it did, the spinning stopped, and I was on my way down the track.
There is no possible way for me to get into the bottle in first gear without blowing the tires off the car. I thought the nittos would help, but they didn't.

Re: New best, sort of I feel your pain. I used to spray a 150 shot once I caught some traction in 1st gear. Hit the button and all hell would break loose again. Sounds like some ET Streets should be your next mod. Oh...maybe some 3.73's too.

Re: New best, sort of good run Nick, sorry I missed ya last night, it was so packed after my 3rd run when I spun and everyone I talked to said the track was starting to go away, I just called it a night and went home. I ran 2 13.04s on my buddy's toyo street tires with high 1.9 60 foots, but the track was hooking earlier, b/c he was clocking low 1.7 60s on my sportsman pros!

Hey Nick, was it your car out there that has the "silly ricer , wings are for airplanes" sticker on the back window? It's the only TA I saw out there that was the color of yours.
They always say, "Oh yeah, well your car has a wing too." and I reply with....."Yeah, but it came with the car, and it doesn't slow me down." I also tell them that if they can beat me, I will take the sticker off. Hasn't heppened yet.

Re: New best, sort of Justin, probably not. I'll be in Ocala that afternoon getting the Nova set-up for a roll-bar. Maybe I'll drive the Formula out and see if the 12s will pay me a visit
