Default moterplate question

i have an lt1 in my car and a bmr crossmember.i want to put an ls1 in but dont want to by a new crossmember.can i just use a moter plate instead and keep the lt1 crossmember?its not for a street car.

yes with a motorplate you can run whatever crossmember you want. you won't have stock motor mounts then

check out burkhart chassis stuff he will hook you up with everything you need. if you want to avoid using a k-member with motor mounts your more then likely going to have to use a midplate setup as well. im doing a turbocharged bbc in my car but he can do you a motor plate midplate setup and front end kit. basically my front end kit has one of his k-members, a manual rack, upper and lower a arms, drop spindles, aerospace brakes, bumpsteer kit, afco shocks. you can get what you need but i optioned and got every single piece that i could. by the way this is all on an lt1 camaro.

Front plates will work with a torque strap. We can set you up.

You can cut the LT1 mounts off your k member to save some weight.

Madman also offers the motor plates.
