Thanks Guys ! Needless to say I'm thrilled to death.
Some more info on the car and the day,
1st pass 9.006 @159.64 1.397 60ft
2nd pass added 1 degree of timing and softened the front shocks
trying to get some 60 ft time .
Still spun 1.372 60ft.and banged the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift ran 9.159 @154.23.
We only had one more shot at an 8 so we upped the boost .
car again spun 1.399 60ft.and hit the rev limiter again!ran 9.090 @154.95
No 8 today DAMN!
After reading the data log we found that the trans was slipping on the 1-2 shift so that is why we were on the limiter (7700rpm)
So tonight I drain the trans fluid and it is burnt so time for a freshening and hope to get back out soon.
And the cars race weight is 3410 so really not a lightweight but still lighter than G.B

I've been driving the car for Chris... For anyone who doesnt understand why Chris isnt driving the car, then you havent met him (like 6'5" all torso). When Chris sits in the car, his head sticks above the main hoop 3 inches WITHOUT a helmet on. For him to sit safely in the seat, the floor would need to be channeled 5 inches down
..The trans has been acting up for some time. The 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift were done at about 6500, yet the trans was flaring up to 7700 and hitting hte limiter.. It became progressively worse throughout the day and you can see it in the MPH from the #1 pass to the #3 pass.
With a fresh trans and a good track, i think we will see some very impressive #s... Keep an eye out for some mid to high 8 second passes soon..

Re: 9.00 @ 159.5 Very much lookin' forward to that Bob. Congrats on the new record and the ones your fixing to set. I remember that car well from Thunder last year and it was nothing short of amazing in both craftmanship and quality.
