AFCO if the budget allows. QA1 or Strange if you are looking for a good shock on a budget.

Strange or Afco like the guys said above, but honestly, unless you are looking to make a big change in how teh car comes out, stock shocks work fine. maybe some cheap comp engineering out back (assuming you are looking for 1.5 60' type stuff).

I have gone 1.3x NA on QA1s. The rest of the suspension was set up right to do this.

i have gone 1.3 60' on stock front shocks and cheapo comp engineering rear shocks so i might not be the best person to ask. but having said that, you cant go wrong with any of the mentioned. strange and qa1 on a budget and afcos or varishocks if you have the extra money to spend.

personally i dont think on an automatic car you "need" to spend the money unless you are fighting bad oem shocks.

I'm still on stock front struts and I have Comp. Engineering rears. My car cuts 1.3X's 60'

There are plenty of guys running the cheap Comp. Eng. rears, guys going faster than I am and they love them.

Hey Jason,

Got a pair of the Comp Eng rear shocks ready to put on my car, part # C2600. Got mine from Speed Inc. Everyone says to set them on 50/50.

running konis and love them for an all-around shock. i know some disagree with konis for drag but thought id chime in with my opinion. car sees the street as a wkend warrior or when the weather is nice. not a daily driver

I'm running the cheap Summit house brand shock that they sell for less than $30.00 EACH I've been high 1.4's with them. They are adjustable and work great, I know a few Stock Eliminator guys that run them and they've been in the low 1.30's with them.

If you want a set of budget shocks, I have a set of SA QA1's. R Series fronts with either 275 or 325 springs, torington bearings on the fronts, just rebuilt by Naake. Rears have been rebuilt as well. 450.00 for front and rear shipped.
