Default Door bar/support removal

I've tried a search multiple times, and its not getting me anywhere. I also attempted to utilize the door bar removal write up in the sticky, but it only applies to trans ams.... What did you guys with Camaros do to take these bars out. Or is there a write up that applies to Camaros out there. Thanks in advance.

I used a hole saw and drilled a 1-inch hole in the back of the door to get the bar out. Getting to the bolts that hold the bars on is not easy to do. I used a very shallow socket and a tiny ratchet. Once you get it loosened a few turns you have to switch to a wrench because the ratchet will be pressing up against the outer door skin as the nut backs off of the thread.

Use a dremel or angle grinder (preferred) and grind off the "nuts" that the bolts go into. This is much easier than trying to turn those bolts out. It will be glued in place, I just cut off the nuts and put a large pair of channel locks on the pipe and twisted it so it popped off. I drilled a hole in the lower part of the back of the door to slide the bar through, but you can do it as described in the sticky if you wanna do the additional work.

I'm trying to use an angle grinder but it doesn't fit in the door, I think I'm gonna try a dremel.

Im trying to unbolt the ones on my 94 z28 and then I will do a write up on it. Stay tuned to the build thread in my signiture. I have started the passenger door and have 3/4 bolts out. Major PITA but taking a cutoff wheel on a fiberglass door makes me a little nervous with limited space.
