I would guess that it will cost well over 2 grand for one pass.

You guys realize that a burnout and one run will burn about 15-20 gallons of nitromethane? A typical clutch will last about 10 passes. Tires maybe 25 passes. A 55 gallon drum of nitro can run anywhere from $1000+, so that's an easy $400 just in fuel. I wouldn't even want to guesstimate what a clutch costs. Not to mention the labor involved in a motor teardown every 5 or 6 passes to replace rotor vanes, pistons, etc...

I guess if you have to ask........

It gets torn down every pass at the races on a *****-out run. Those "rent" runs are going to be conservative ( by top-fuel) standards. They probably won't need to rip the motor apart every pass. Kinda like when a team visits a local track for a grudge match. The motor isn't set on kill. I am certain you won't be seeing anyone doing a 4.60 run on a rental pass.

LOL ! ......Thats what most people say when they see it for the first time !

But seriously, Larry has been racing Fuel bikes since the early 80's and has been a major player and icon in the development of Fuel bikes to what they are today.

He was the first one to break the into the 6 sec zone in the early 90's, and also the first to break into the 5 sec zone with a Fuel Bike at Houston, Oct 30,1999.

If you ever get a chance to go see a Top Fuel Motorcyle race in person, by all means do it, you won't regret it. It's a jaw dropping experiance.
