Default When do you replace drag brakes pads and rotors

I make about 200 passes a season and have changed my pads once a year and have not changed the rotors in maybe two or three years of use.

Car see little street duty so the track use is all there is.

Just wondering what the intervals might be?

I have the Strange Engineering front drag brakes?

How often do you change them?

Check rotors for run out to see if they are warped, and replace pads as needed.
Also check to make sure calipers they are retracting fully and not draging. While your at it, inspect the wheel bearings, and repack with a good quality wheel bearing grease. I like the Redline stuff myself. You want the front wheels to spin as free as possible.
Lots of people over look little things that can make a differance in ET.

Hmm, mine don't spin as freely. I think the caliper may not be retracting fully. How can do I address this?

First off, make sure the caliper is shimmed properly to the rotor. You want the rotor dead center of the caliper.

If thats ok, you might need to disassemble the caliper, clean inspect and rebuild if needed. Check the pucks for pitting and condition of seals and o-rings.

It's also a good idea to change the brake fluid every year. Moisture is your worst enemy.
