Crane Cams doors closed
This may or may not be new news to you guys, since I had heard a couple months ago that they were trying to stay open, but did not think they were going to be able to. So, another company gone....hope our economy gets straightened out in a hurry

Why would they re-name the join though? With a name like Crane I figure it would make sense to keep the name.

My understanding is that there is going to be an auction for the equipment and such, so I think Crane may just go away.

Yeah, my machine shop had a guy that he worked with for like the last 20 years or something, and he had mentioned to him about 2 months ago that something was going on. My guy really liked the Crane lifters, and I believe he wanted to go that route with my motor, but he held off until he knew for sure what was going on, so now we know.
Yeah, I hope this is not a trend, but everyone is feeling it. Hopefully Obama can get this economy going, and I really believe he is taking alot of teh right steps in doing so.
Not to bring poilitcs up, but I was watching last night, that he was cutting funding to the fleet of Helicopters that are built for the President. He made a joke, and was like "The Helicopter I ride in now is just fine. Now, this is my FIRST Helicopter, but is does seem to be just fine to me." Anyways, the point he was making was like, the Taxpayers are responsible for the $6 BILLION we spend on Helicopters, and we have a fleet already, so why do we need more?
