Default Roll Cage Height Issue

I just got my wolfe 10 point cage installed and when sitting in there with stock seats i can move my head to the side and hit the bars.
Have other people had this issue, really the bar could have only been raised another inch or so, installer did what he could for the length of bars sent with the kit. I am 6'-0" and these cars dont have much height to them.
Just looking for opinions.

Put kirkey seats in the car and mount then right on th floor with the back 2 stock studs, that will give you about 3 inches or so, did for me.
My fab guy didn't tuck my cage up high enough either, and I ended up with the same problem, even with my seats on the floor my helmet still hits the padding on the bar.

Custom seats mounted at a very layed back angle...almost on the floor...almost on the rear cross bar...plus a big piece of stick on rollbar padding.

No kidding, I'm 6'4" and have had three different 10pt cages in a couple different 4th gens, wolfe 10pt, custom 10pt and a 25.5 and I never fit worth a **** in any one of them.

Best thing to do is mount a kirkey or something on the floor, even then you head will clear the bar but your helmet wont. Nothing you can do about it just the way the roofline is.

Yea I am looking into having a metal guy fab up a section of the floor for the seat to sit about 4-5 inches lower and install ballbearings on the bottom incase it bottoms out...

Problem is if you keep dropping the seat you cant a see damn thing out of the front between the dash and mile long hood. Not a big deal when at the track but a PITA to parallel park

This is a crappy picture but this was the best solution to the tall guy/helmet resting on the side bar issue I have seen, you cant tell in the pic but they also had some steel mesh welded above the driver's head to keep out the t-top glass out of your face and helmet off the ground if the car went over. It was a shop car out of Texas, forget the shop. freese or something owned the shop if I remember. Not sure who built the cage but it looks like the best solution.
