Default balanced drs

Does anyone balance their drag radials, i hear that once you do a burn out it throws the balance off anyway. I have a separate set of street tires and will mainly use the mt dr's at the track. Should i save the money, i do have a bubble balancer at home to i should be able to get it close, plus i was thinking everytime i swap for street tires i can check to see if they even went out.

I don't balance them cause when you launch you spin the rim in the tire. Even if you only do it a little you do it a few times and then your weights are in the wrong place.

Yeah thats what i am thinking, a local shop want $460 installed, jegs cam ship them to me for $410. This is the mt 255 50-16 tire i am wanting. I have been running the nitto 245 50-16 and did manage a best of a 1.599 60' but most of my others were 1.64 spinning, so i would like to see what the car has in it.

Never balance mine. Most of the time they are fine, every once in a while a get a set that is a little off but it changes as the tire rotate on the rims. I run 275/40/17's nittos.

I have always balanced the tires on mine. Slicks and Radials. I didn't have a problem with the tire spinning on the rim either. We have tried running a car with out balancing them and it did affect the times. Was it enough to matter, probably not. Maybe not your case.

WTF? a 1.599 on a 245 nitto? I think that is a record or something....What is your setup?
