Is there anyone that makes a blow proof bellhousing for the LS1?

since the motor is out, and the trans is down also, now would be a good time to gt one..

The only thing I've seen is this:

http://www.exoticmuscle.com/vette/images/C6805.jpg

Available from http://www.exoticmuscle.com - about $180 + shipping. It feels like a bulletproof vest, and does have an SFI rating. It's a pain to install with the motor in the car, but once on, it fits tight. It does clear the Grot headers in my car just fine. Here is a picture of it on my tranny.

It's cheaper than feet, and it's better than nothing, is how I look at it. When I talked to the guy at Exotic, he did say that he'd had a couple guys call him and say that the thing does work...

No. I had a local shop install it for me (I had to go out of town, and was trying to get the car ready to race that next weekend). He didn't pull the tranny, but he did drop the tranny crossmember / driveshaft / pull the Y-pipe and let the trans droop down so that he could get access to those top bolts.

i have been getting scared of the clutch letting go and taking out my feet lately, sound like the only option out there other than a regular blanket.
