Big congrats to one of our fellow board members!!!!! Last night Derek Putnam (Villain281H) won the Pro ET category at the Division 2 ET finals in Gainesville, FL!!!! 
He was competing against the top bracket racers from all of NHRA's Division 2, and came out on top. To make it even sweeter, he wasn't in his normal racecar, but in his "backup" daily driven '00 Formula!
Now he gets to go race in Pomona, CA against the other divisional champions for a chance at becoming the national champion. If he wins, then he gets to use #1 on his car anytime he competes in the Pro ET category!!!!

Re: Big congrats to one of our fellow board members!!!!! Thanks guys! Man I had no clue I'd be doing this good with the daily-driver, but damn I love the LS1's consistency! Ran dead on the dial in 4 of 8 rounds, and probably 2 of the other 4 I would have run dead on the dial but lifted to close up the stripe! 
God I can't describe the amazing feeling when you see the win light in your lane against some of the best racers in 7 states! Many thanks go to GeorgeC for all the help he's given me on this car to make a great car even better, and Jason from Rollins Automotive for the tuning and track help and advice! Look for me at the NHRA world finals in Pomona the weekend of November 5th-9th. I need some LS1Tech decals for this car now!!! Tony? 
We also have a LS1 corvette going from division 2 in the sportsman class. Phillip "Casey" Miles from Moroso Motorsports Park will also be joining me in Pomona as he won with a 2001 A4 model that was also deadly on the dial every round.

George, just like at Super Chevy, they were screwing up my name in the announcements as well! Geez, there's a Putnam county 30 minutes from Gainesville, is it that hard to believe it's not Putman?!
