It is one of the coolest feelings the first time you get the car to 60' real hard. I actually used the same feeling as you described like a roller coaster. For me it was quite a drastic change. I went from cutting 1.9 60' times on Nittos, to 1.39 60' times using full slicks off of a trans brake. Its kind of funny looking at my log files of that first pass, you can see my throttle position go way down right after the launch. It took some getting used to. Now its WOT all the way, all the time.
