Also in your tune have you or your tuner disabled the drivetrain abuse? The A4 cars have a drivetrain abuse mode in them that if you footbrake the car it activates the drivetrain abuse which limits your torque that the motor makes. I had this very same issue and with the abuse mode on the best 60' I could muster was a 1.88 on the same tires you are running. I turned the abuse mode off after I got HPtuners and flashed the converter from about 2k rpm and I cut a 1.57 60'. I run my ET streets wrinkle wall tire(not the DR's) at 20 psi of air and they dead hooked after a short burnout.
is this drivetrain abuse mode something that might be on a 2002 Z28 with a 6 speed
and if so how much would it cost to turn off using HP tuners if at all possible?
