The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
You guys that are plugging your slicks are ****** retards!

I hope the plug never comes out and causes you to wreck into the guy next to you. And god forbid that does happen I hope they kick the **** out of your dumb asses...
Mine was a MT street radial, and I did mention patchs, plugs, (mine had both) are a bad idea. And here's another news flash, if you ask them nice, (T&T) they will let you make a single run, as in no one in the other lane. But heah, you have a nice day.
BTW you should never replace one slick at a time... This can cause all kinds of problems (if one is worn more then another) and cause alot of launching and other problems... One tire shorter then another equals driving in circles... ok not that bad but you get the idea.
Prepared to be flamed, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat....
Ended up finding a bias-ply patch, used that and didn't have a problem for the rest of the life of the tire. Granted I go through a set of ET Streets every 2-2 1/2 months.
here the e-mail that I sent and the response that I received. Kind of comfusing but basically not to use it again..

We recommend throwing it out as it can be patched or anything and to
dangerous so we recommend getting a new one.

Good Morning:
The reason I'm writing is because the other night at my track one of my
slick MTs managed to grab a screw that was somewhere in the return road
or staging lanes. Now I would like to know what is the best way to
aproach fixing this to a safe operating tire again. I have been
emphasised not to plug it. What would you recomend???
Thank you
