Default New best last night

Thought I'd post my results from last night. I was originaly hoping the car would go at least 12.75 @110 on the motor and 11.99 @ 120 on the bottle with sub 2.0 60's.This is what went down..

On the way to the track I was trying to do some tuning via my laptop. I reflashed the PCM about 4 times on the way up there, changing the fuel and spark maps as it was either running rich or lean and getting some detonation in the upper rpm's.

First pass, set the Tazzo in the winshield (Like a G-tech but a bit better) plugged my laptop in to record the passes and went throught the staging lanes. Got to the line, set the line lick, did a nice 3-4 second burn out and pulled foreward. Stalled to 2500 as the lights came down and let the clutch out. Much to my surprise the car bogged to 1700. Shift light came on hit second, short shifted third (Light didn't come on) Shifted fourth just before the traps and lifted the last 20 feet. I did not drive the car like normal. The Tazzo tells me:

2.02 - 60 (to my surprise it was dead on)
12.64 @ 112.7x

I new it was a decent pass even before I went to the booth. Well the slip was close to that:

60 - 2.029
330 - 5.510
1/8 - 8.33 @ 87.549
1000 - 10.725
12.761 @ 111.337

I was pretty happy with the first pass results. Reviewed my log on the laptop and realized I was running pretty rich. I leaned it out and felt I could maybe pull and 12.65 by driving it a little better and with leaning it out.

Made my way to the lanes again and it took a good 1 1/2 hour for me to make another pass. Did another 3-4 second burn out, set everything in the car, got to the line and stalled the car to 3500 this time.. Lights went down and the tires spun on me. At the end Tazzo read:

2.02 - 60 again
12.34 @ 113.7

I was thinking to myself, there is no way I pulled better than a 12.6, this thing has got to be whacked.

Slip reads:
60 - 2.024
330 - 5.316
1/8 - 8.074 @ 89.155
1000 - 10.434
12.443 @ 112.836

I was very happy with the results on motor last night. Time to open the bottle. I was thinking spraying the 100 shot should get me in the 11's pretty easily with that ET/MPH. Got the bottle to a good pressure and headed to the line. Reset the shift light to 5800 insted of 6k, Closed the Electric cut outs to talk to someone while the car was running (Big mistake).. Got the the line, did my burn out again stalled it up to 3k this time in hopes of keeping the tires planted. Slipped the clutch a little and the car hooked better. Then realized, I left the cut outs closed. Shifted to second and turned the bottle on, it sputtered a second cause I don't have a purge yet. Shifted the rest of the way down the track. Forgot to set Tazzo as well so I had no Idea how it went. The pass fealt slow to me. That it was:

60 - 1.969 (Best 60 of the night)
330 - 5.366 (Slower than my 12.44 run 5.316)
1/8 - 8.029 @ 93.896(ET the same as 12.44 run 8.074, MPH was moving though 89.115 [4.7mph faster])
1000 - 10.277 (Little over 2 tenths faster than the 12.44)
12.173 @ 119.4

I have learned the importance of opening the cutous and doing less in the car while going down the track so you can focus on driving. I used to have a first gear lock out switch so I would have to arm the N20 going down the track. I also left some good HP/TQ on the table with closed cut outs. (Aprox 15hp and 25lbs of TQ)

Little disapointed in the N20 passes But very happy with the NA passes.

I already have some things in the works to get the car to go 11.99 NA (Cam, light weight hood and starting to build a strong rear so I can put some slicks on it).

I also will do some minor fixes like the first gear lock out for the N20 and getting a purge. Those are the results.. I'll let you all know what happens after the installs I am doing plus dyno tuning.

Working on them, but need to be careful of the 10 bolt.. I think the rear will be my next wallet mod. I have a few other mods already bought just need to do them.
