Default et drag question

i am getting tired of spinning these hoosier DR's. i am looking to go to an et drag or equivalent. the car has a 9" w/4.11's, spohn rear sway bar, spohn lca, rlc brackets. spohn tunnel mount tq arm, no name panhard, comp. eng. rear shocks (set @ 50/50). the car is at stock ride height but i dont know if i will be able to run a 28" slick without having issue with it growing to big. so i am thinking of going with a 26x11.5x15. i am just not sure of which style i need i.e. stiff wall. the car is an m6. i am not sure if the power level matters but the car made 495/518. so if anyone with experience with et drags and a m6 could point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it.

they will grow about 1 inch now if you have tubes in them i dont know if they'll grow as much....do you have front shocks ? that will help big time ! transfer the weight to the rear!

So I am confuse are you currently running a DR that equals a 28 inch tire. If not I would run the 26X10X15 S ET Drag. You need the S (Stiff sidewall) for a heavy spd car. If you run a 28 inch you will need to do some trim work check search for info. You will need to make sure the tire is centered in the wheel well.

I run the tire you are asking about in the stiff model and I go through the traps with a TH400 at 6,600 RPMS NA and 6,900 RPMS on a 75 shot of nitrous with the same gear.

I hope this helps good luck!

I ran a 28in ET street with no issues...The only experience I have between the two sizes is a 26in worked great for motor pass....weak *** 350hpish....and on a 150 shot a 28in tall tire worked at great, the 26in just wasnt enough with 4.11s...Cant remember the trap RPMs though..sorry

yeah, i think the 26in tire works better na, if you get the front to pop for ya. and the 28 works better for a decent size shot. you can hook it on the smaller tire if your suspension is right tho. a 27 in QTP hoosier is another good option

yes i am currently running a hoosier dr. 325/50/15 (28") but the problem with this is that i run at a sketchy track that doesnt always provide the best traction. therefore i am looking to go to a full slick. the difference is that i was told that at 120mph a slick will grow almost 1". therefore i was thinking if i ran a 28 i would have problems on the big end of the track as far as growth on the tire.

you'll need to trim a little on your rear fender but the 28 slick will be fine ....
