Looks like the world cup is here, weather looks clear and sunday should be in the 40s. Track prep should be great. Who's all coming down?? I heard LPE has a few cars on the way.

I'm going to watch. No point in racing, the class we have to run in allows the imports to run 2 power adders. Lets see, a single turbo Supra with a shot to get it out of the hole against a N/A f-body. It would be nice if the rules were setup to give the V8 cars a chance.

Bruce,
I would give serious though to running, if you can run low 11s all day and cut a light you will be able to win at least 3rd.


You guys should check out the results from last year. A H & C all motor V8 will run in the street renegade with the FWD power adder guys. The supras get stuck in the wild street class with the power adder V8s. Its an even playing field. I figure a consistent 11.0-11.2 all motor v8 will come VERY close to winning the renegade class.

Bottom line:
Street Renegade(all motor v8/power adder 4 and 6 banger FWD/AWD):
#1 qualifier last year was 10.40 and I don't think the guy has the car
#2 qualifier last year was ~11.1

Wild Street(Power adder V8 and Power adder 6 RWD):
#6-7 qualifer last year was ~11.1
lots of supras in this class

Shoot, your 11.89 with some cold air will net 11.6s should get you around 8th in the field. Tree a few imports and hope for some luck, go a couple of round than, it's money baybee.

You got me thinking now Phil. Guess I'll put the new driveshaft in tonight and pull the cover on my rear. If everything is OK maybe I'll have to run.

Bruce,
If you can run consistent 11.20s and cut decent lights you will win some money. Your class will consist of turbo FWD hondas. With the temps that low they wont be able to hook up.

What can I run in? 93 Mazda RX7 powered by a LS1 with an NXL kit. Do I race for the imports or for the domestics???

I may come down even though it is a 3 hour drive

they do allow a SC v8 in the top class i believe..no tubo 8 cyls though.

and most of the classes don't let u use BBCs, only 87 and newer. otherwise what import owner would sign up.

I am going to head on down. I have run a best there of 11.43

I figure that in the street renegade class i might be able to get in the quick 16.

Win one race=quick 8, tree some import= final 4. Guy red lights= finals. Guy blows and engine i win.

Just dreaming. I just wish more f-bodies from efa were going to show up and represent.

but i says you're in maryland..it cant be 3 hours.

and u should go sign up for the domestics..u do have a v8.

only like the top 2 classes though, because only those let the v8s have power adders.

Phile and Bruce: good luck... Its gonna be atleast 2 10sec imports there, well thats atleast what my import sources tell me. One may be low low 10's!!!! If he sprays ontop of the 30PSI of boost LMAO

low 11's will get you probably in the 3-5th range.. but you just never know who's gonna show

I just cant stand trying to race that day! FACKING idiots will jam you into the pits so you cant get out when they call your class!

Well I went and watched and the bumb was a 11.53 and there was many imports trapping over 130 mph.

tons of fast imports there, a few trapping over 140.
when i left (end of round 2) phil was still alive.

I went there..i have to say that f-bodys didn't really bring it..

the mustangs owned the top class, 5.0s just OWNING (i'm talking like 8 second-cars) along with some Big blobk mopar and some BBCs.

there was some 10 sec C5 there as well....and a like 10 fast turbo civic/integras...

thery weren't street cars though, super gutted, some left in trailers. i left at the burn out contest..i was freezing my **** off.

there was a 9 sec n/a civic there..pretty impressive.
