Default lost power?

I'm a bit new to drag racing, and have just been racing at our local short track. Its 384'... not great, but a good practice for the 1/4 mile track a few hours drive away. Last year, the car was running an average of 6.20 seconds at our track, this year she's having troubles hitting 6.4! I haven't changed anything on the car, what the hell is going on?! What should I be checking first?

is the car stock? If nothing has changed on your setup I would look at the easy stuff, plugs and wires, maybe a fuel filter and air filter if its time, a dirty maf will cause problems too. Do they give you a 60ft time? See if that is suffering, maybe the tires you have are worn out. Don't forget its gonna be slower on average in the summer.

First thing I would look at is every increment on your time slip to see where the car fell off. Did you lose a lot on the 60'?

its only 384' long, probably not too many increments on that time slip besides the 60ft if that lol

My 60' is still about the same, the car seems "dead" by the end of the track though. Same thing at the 1/4 mile track, She feels great when I launch, but by the 1/8 just seems to have nothing left to give.

Its not stock, and I already changed the plugs, that was my first guess too

I would try cleaning the mass air flow sensor as suggested above. I have seen 4 tenths loss from a dirty sensor.

if your 60ft is off even a little its gonna cost you on the big end even more, but it won't make it feel dead up top. If the plugs are good I would be looking at the maf next and filters. No added weight or exhaust change?

if you are losing mph in top end of the track I would also consider valvefloat

Are you running full exhaust, with cats? A plugged cat could also cause huge upper rpm losses. What are all of your mods?
