Default is this tolerable?

I found out I am slipping the rim inside the tire on my launches. After about 5 passes, my mark I drew separated about 6in. So its slipping about 1 1/4 or so each pass. Is this ok or is it hurting me? How much is too much where I should do something about it? Or should I now? Would I see any improvement if I fixed it?

I'm guessing you're not running tubed tires? If you are, you'd have ripped the valve stems out of the tubes by now. There's still the chance of your tire losing pressure instantly if your bead slips. I'd screw your rims ASAP.

damn I never thought of that. But I am not running tubes anyway. I have some 28x11.5 x15 hoosier qtp's on summits for the rear. what about performance wise? Could I see any gain from the screws? Or is it so little I shoudnt worry about it?

It's not for a performance gain with that much slippage, it's for you and the guys next to you safety.
