Why does it look like that botom end went together without any assembly lube... I don't see any anywhere... you're either the cleanest engine builder or.....

Crank looks like it's rusting too

What type of shifter linkage you need? I got a couple laying around...

I only use assembly lube on the cam, the rest I use a real thick lucas 50wt oil. I've had real good luck with it. Also use molly on all of the ARP bolts. Crank isn't rusty, it's just the orangish brown color from the oil base residue I coated it with before I washed it and coated it again.

You can see my little red oil can in the dead middle of the last picture between all of the boxes . When I have the shortblock completely together it gets pretty nasty with that oil I use, it's like a syrup and stringy everywhere...I usually try to keep it as clean as I can but can't help it most of the time

I just need the stock bracket that bolts to the bottom of the trans. pan

Got some more stuff finished up today. Parts didn't get here but will here here tomorrow for sure (cam, oil pump, lifters). Also put in an order for ARP Head Bolts and got the heads to the machine shop to be assembled and milled .025 .

Putting the pistons and rods together


Took a while but finally got em' all done


The thick *** oil I assemble the bottom end with


My girlfriend actin' a fool


It's done!.....as in Piston, rods, crank and all that lol

I'll have to wait until friday to get any more pictures . Apparently COMP Cams have had the LS cams on backorder or something and all the other good stuff. So I won't be able to pick up the rest of my parts and heads until late friday evening or early next week

New parts for the end of the week ! Finally getting the WS6 out of my way and hopefully have this Z28 out by Monday or Tuesday so I can get mine finished up. I'm picking up the heads Tuesday or Wednesday and will be ready to put it all together. I also got my shifter linkage bracket ordered thanks to the newest sponsor on Tech

Brand spankin' new Melling oil pump.


Some new LS7 replacement lifters


And finally the new cam (238/246 .605/.613 110LSA)
