Default Stuck in mid 11's

Alright this is my deal, the car goes a very consistant 11.6X @ 117.X all day long...

Its a full weight, cam only car making 406 to the tires... 3500 stall, 3.73 gear on a 275/40R17 ET Street radial

Stock suspention with front sway bar removed, Bolt in UMI TQ arm, and LCAs..

Would adju front anf rear shocks help me out? Maybe a bias ply tire?

Adjustable shocks, a set of 15 inch drag wheels to get the rotating mass down some, a bigger stall would probably help too.

The 15's would really make that difference?

I have prostars for the rear but I'm still on a stock rear so don't want to invest the time/money in putting in longer studs.

How big would you go on the stall?

I'd hold off on the rims until you put a rear in the car for the reason you already stated, get the good studs with the new rear when you put it in. Good chance to get the gearing a little better too, 4.10 or 3.89/3.90, somewhere around there would be good.

I'd put a 4400 in the car if track times are you #1 concern, if you still want to drive the car alot, 4000 would probably be a better fit.

Thanks for the input.

Its just an old Yank ST3500 in the stock tranny, so I'll hold off on this combo for a while... or until something brakes

Just work on the weight if you want to drive it till something breaks.

I'd do front shocks and more converter. What intake manifold on the car?

I agree front shocks and more TC. Taking out weight will always help!

nitrous.......

lol jk...

i DD a VIG 4k stall.. i would move up to that if you plan on spraying later.. if not, go to a 4400.. the difference DD those is hardly noticeable..
just make sure you get a good converter..

take some weight out if you have not..

those two together should put you 11.3s-11.4s..

yank out all that AC stuff, maybe a few hp at the most but between 100 and 200 lbs. Maybe a UnderDrive Pulley if you dont have one

Yank SS4000 and a rear drag bar with a set of front shocks will work killer. And a set of 15's in the rear would be nice.
