New Best 1/8 mile time... 6.88 @ 98.43 NA LS1...
Went 1/8 bracket racing last night, I was kickign *** running right on my dialin, but went out in the 4th round to a bad reaction time =( I ended up cutting a .615 light :O it felt more like a .515 light to me, I was really shocked to say the least when I got my time slip. If I would have made it past that round I would have been in some money, grrrrr. I am still getting used the car since I upgraded the suspension and installed the TCI converter. The car launches off the line so fast if I launch like I used to I would redlight everytime. I'm having to get a new feel for the car off the tree, I run in all the footbrake classes and have no electronics in the car.
Anyway I love the Ls1 as a race motor. The car is running very consistant. Race weight was 3290 lbs last night. I was dialed in at 6.90 all night, here are my runs:
[**EDIT**]
Had the wrong slip posted as my first run. It was dark our when eliminations started. The only run I got on video was my last practice run:
Last Time Run Before Eliminations:
RT = .564
60' = 1.498
330'= 4.418
1/8e= 6.907
1/8m= 98.47
Here's a video: 6.90 @ 98.47 MPH (6mb)
1st Round 6.90 Dial-In: *Won
Ran 6.90 on 6.90di.
[**EDIT**]
2nd Round 6.90 Dial-In: *Won
RT = .518
60' = 1.491
330'= 4.411
1/8e= 6.901
1/8m= 98.34
3rd round 6.90 Dial-In: *Won
RT = .521
60' = 1.533
330'= 4.447
1/8e= 6.934
1/8m= 98.47
4th Round 6.90 Dial-In: *Lost
RT = .615
60' = 1.501
330'= 4.421
1/8e= 6.912
1/8m= 98.36
I also ran a new best 1/8 mile during open time runs, 6.88 @ 98.43 mph =)
60' = 1.47
330'= 4.39
1/8e= 6.88
1/8m= 98.43
Previously I was dialed in @ 6.95 in the 1/8, well I installed a Meziere EWP that I got from Thunder Racing this week. I pickup up a little ET, ran a new best 1/8 and was dialed in at 6.90 all night. The interesting thing was my coolant temp never went above 150*. I installed the street version of the EWP with no thermostat and programmed my fans to turn on at 125*low and 135* high, from the time I start my car, make my pass and park in the pits, the car is only running for about 3-4 minutes.
I also wired up a manual fan switch and wired up the EWP into the relay for the fans, so when I'm in the pits with the car off I can turn the fans on and the EWP on at the same time with 1 switch. The motor was running so cool all night I only used the manual switch once after I was doing hot laps during the open time run session.
Anyway thats it for now, I'll be racing for the next 4 weekends in a row in some major events, I'll keep ya all updated!

Great runs Lee!
I know all about thinking you cut a good light and come to find out you were real late. Oh well that is drag racing.
4 round isn't to bad at all. Your Hot rod was dead on.
Good luck this weekend. Iam going to run this weekend at TAD. We are running for $2,500.00 to win footbrake and then over Thanksgiving weekend we are going to run the Super 10's at Hattisburg Mississippi(Hub City Dragway) should be fun the next couple of weekends.
Good luck to ya the next few weekends.

Thanks guys. There car is deadly consistant, if I lose a race its because I didn't cut a good tree. Having a consistant car is 1/2 the battle, now its just up to me.
Yes that was at Immokalee Raceway. Its a cute little 1/8 mile track, I'm not too crazy about the burnout box, everything is so small there.

Yea a guy at the track said his Tahoe was faster too, then he saw mine was 4wd and he said "oh no wonder". I ran the truck in 2wd mode when I raced it, but I guess its just slower. I could have made a sandwhich and ate lunch from the time I launched till I hit the traps seemed like forever.
