U must see this
I was trying to get my best after the cam and latest dyno numbers........ When i first came to the track i did a run without changing anything such as tire pressure or taking the tools out of my car and ran 12.6 at 108 spinning all the way.... The 108 is because i didnt shift to 4th thinking i would get through the traps before i hit the rev limiter, but i was wrong. Still a new best without shifting to 4th is nice .
After that i went back to the pits and took everything out of the car and lower the Tire pressure to 20psi.... I did a 7 sec burn out hoping to get 1.760ft or so..... I launched at 5500RPM the face of the car just lifted(Perfect launch) and after that i hear this BOOOOM Clig Clig Clig Clig....... Check out the pic and u wont believe what GM has in our stock parts:

CARD BOARD inside our stock Drive shaft......... Do u guys believe this?
All the time i was worried more about my rear end, but never thought my drive shaft was in danger too. Anyways thank god its the drive shaft and not the rear end. Advice to all the guys pushing alot of HP, change ur drive shaft before it snaps.

THATS NICE!!!!!
I want a heavy duty driveshaft built of solid cardboard!!!
LOL That is horrible.... I used to think that the stock driveshafts were pretty stout but they aren't made of much!

Hey dude, i'm sorry to see that, I hope you had a loop. So now you've got a heavy duty clutch, you'll have a heavy duty driveshaft, I think you know what you're going to replace next. Btw, nice numbers with that cam, looks like you got some long tubes to go with it now. Good luck, hope that driveshaft doesn't set you back too much.

Thanks man... I didnt have the loop but thank god nothing broke from that broken drive shaft. I have Mcleod Kevlar/Organic and today i ordered a strong driveshaft. So i know that my rear end will be next LOL. The thing that amaze me is that i only have 10K on the car. The stock clutch didnt last more than 7K and the Stock DS didnt last more than 10K. I will see how long will the rear end last. The cam is amazing.... After the tunning it very hard to tell i even have a cam. And it made more power from 2500-6400RPM. U can check more about this cam and see dyno sheets here https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/114037-got-my-car-tuned-last.html
