I was going to try to run the 275 class, but after looking around at all the racing I can do, and what would be competitive, available to race at alot of tracks so that I'm not stuck only going to one place, had good sized payouts and was within the budget constraints I have... the 8.50 index looked like the best fit.

I want to race on a heads up pro tree, I hate bracket racing as it's just not my cup of tea, leaving a 1/2 hour before some rail car, or an hour after some POS 1975 slant 6 dodge dart is just not my thing.

LOL I hear ya about the stagger start. They have a 17.99 cap up here, so you're literally waiting for 5-6 seconds before you get to go. And that's on motor.

This T-top idea comes around every six months or so and if VFN or someone else really wanted to, I would think there would be a decent enough market for them. Problem always is, people say they want something, a company does R & D, spends a crap load of money, and then only a few people actually buy the 'specialty part'.

It would be great if a company with a good and well known name, such as VFN, Madman, Wolfe, etc, etc would make a set of these. Problem might be the end cost. If it was under $500 I would buy a set. If they were more than that, I think it would be cheaper to just hack the top off both my cars and go the retro fit junkyard parts route.

But then, as I said.....this will come up again in 6 months and we will all be in the same spot.

If they made them already and they have the mold what's the problem?
Their stuff takes forever anyway, they could just make them to order no?

other than the sure size it shouldn't be that hard to make. It is a simple one curved piece. no complex bends or anything....
