Need drag radials Hey guys I took my formula to the track for the first time last weekend and was a little dissapointed with my times I got a best time of 13.9 @ 109 mph and spun through 1st and 2nd really bad launching at 3000rpm. I was wondering how much better my time would be with some drag radials. Not real familiar with race tires so what would be good? Also is it better to turn the tcs on or off when racing? Mods are in singnature. Thanks

I have Nitto NT55r DRs and they are awesome. When i go to the track i got down to about 15psi and dont break loose. On the street at normal PSI i can mash the throttle and barely spin. I love em and they are priced alot better then MT

I didn't think about it at the time but i run 32psi in my tires normaly and that is what i raced with would it help if i lower the pressure before i race? If so what psi should i run? also i have goodyear eagle F1 tires so do i need to do a burnout or is it better not to when running street tires?
street tires drive around water box and just burn them a little to clean off the tires not a smokey burn just turn em over a little,and you will have to lanch at a lower rpm to hook like 2000 or 2500 if track prep is good if not its just going to spin,MT DR will hook the best but your rear wont last long maybe 1 pass maybe 25 passes but it will just be luck

The m/t drag radial is best for the track. Nitto is a great street tire(they last long) but at the track no way. if you can get a second pair of rims like LT1 rims from the junk yard 16'' and slap the DR's on them. Run them about 15 to 18psi. I saw 5 tenths drop off my times back in the day when I was only a 13sec car. Tcs off and start your luanch around 2,200rpm's and go up ti'll you find the sweet spot. goodluck to ya.
